What types of assessments do you provide for children and young people? We offer a wide range of assessments including developmental, psychological, cognitive, behavioural and neurodevelopmental assessments. These can support diagnosis of conditions like autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities and trauma-related challenges.
Who completes the assessments and rehabilitation? Your child will be supported by our experienced, multidisciplinary team, which includes clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech-language therapists, behaviour specialists and rehabilitation coaches.
Can I access this service privately or is a referral required? We accept both referrals (e.g. through ACC, schools or healthcare providers) and private clients. If you’re unsure where to start, contact us and we can help guide you through the process.
What age groups do you work with? We work with children/tamariki and young people/rangatahi, typically aged 0–21 years, depending on their individual needs and the services required.
Do you provide support after a brain injury or concussion? Yes. We offer concussion and brain injury rehabilitation for children and young people, including psychological support, physiotherapy and return-to-school planning.
Can you work with my child’s school or other providers? Absolutely. We take a collaborative approach and can work alongside schools, family/whānau, Ministry for Children-Oranga Tamariki, GPs and other professionals to support consistent and coordinated care.
Where are services delivered? We offer flexible delivery including in-home visits, telehealth appointments, community-based support or at one of our local centres — depending on your child’s needs and location.
How long does the assessment or rehabilitation process take? It depends on your child’s specific needs. Initial assessments may take one to two sessions, while rehabilitation plans are typically developed and delivered over weeks or months with regular reviews.
What does it cost? If your child is eligible for funded support (e.g. through ACC or other agencies), there may be no cost. We also offer services you can pay for — we’ll discuss all options with you upfront.
