GIsborne Physiotherapy Services in Kapiti Hub - Dynamic Rehab

About Dynamic Rehab

At Dynamic Rehab Gisborne, we believe great physiotherapy is built on quality care, not rushed appointments. Our approach is centred around giving both clients and clinicians the time needed to properly understand injuries, create effective treatment plans, and support long-term recovery.

Our team understands the demands of an active Gisborne lifestyle because we live it too. With strong outdoor and sporting backgrounds, our clinicians appreciate the physical challenges our community faces and bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to the recovery journey.

We take a hands-on, evidence-based approach to physiotherapy and rehabilitation, supported by access to comprehensive diagnostics and strong relationships with local GPs, orthopaedic specialists, ACC case managers, fracture clinics, and allied health professionals. We believe collaborative care delivers the best outcomes for our clients.

Our goal is simple – to help you move well, recover confidently, and get back to doing the things you love as quickly and safely as possible.

Our clinic at the Kaiti Hub

Our main Gisborne clinic is conveniently located within the Kaiti Hub (formerly the Kaiti Mall), providing a calm, comfortable, and air-conditioned environment for 45-minute to 1-hour treatment sessions.

The clinic features 7 dedicated treatment rooms and onsite rehabilitation facilities, allowing us to support recovery following injury, surgery, and joint replacement. We offer personalised rehabilitation programmes, including ACC-funded services, and cater to a wide range of musculoskeletal physiotherapy needs.

We also have a long-standing partnership with the YMCA, an organisation with a strong history of supporting sport and community wellbeing in Gisborne. Through this relationship, our clients have access to Gisborne’s largest gym complex, discounted YMCA memberships, and a seamless transition from rehabilitation into ongoing fitness and wellbeing support with qualified fitness instructors.

Costing & Funding

Service costs and ACC funding

We offer both ACC-funded physio and private physiotherapy, making our services available and accessible to all who need them.

ACC covers necessary treatment for anyone injured in an accident in New Zealand, citizens and visitors alike. This is no-fault cover, and can be accessed with a referral from your doctor or directly through our clinic for an eligible injury.

Injuries that are non-accidental or caused by existing or age-related conditions are not covered by ACC. We have affordable private physiotherapy sessions available.

ACC-funded physiotherapy costs

The following prices are for ACC-funded treatment. Whether or not your treatment will be funded can be quickly determined through an initial consultation.

  • Initial & Follow Up ACC Consult: $40
  • ACC Pelvic Health Initial: $70
  • ACC Pelvic Health Follow Up: $50

Please let us know if you have sustained an injury to your shoulder, knee or lower back as these injuries may fall under the new ACC Integrated Care Pathway (ICP) which allows for fully funded physiotherapy treatment.

Private physiotherapy costs

Our privately-funded physiotherapy costs are straightforward and based on the length of a session. Frequently asked questions: Dynamic Rehab

You can make a booking online: simply click the “Make a booking” button below and follow the steps laid out. If you prefer a phone call, you can reach us on 06 863 0960 to make an appointment.

Your first appointment will begin with an initial assessment, so your physiotherapist can get a clear idea of your injury and condition and what is needed for rehabilitation and recovery.

From there, a treatment plan will be determined. There will be opportunities for you to ask questions and have them answered before any treatment commences.

Depending on the type and duration of your initial appointment, you may begin treatment. You may also be provided with exercises or stretches to carry out at home.

Your assessment may include a conversation about your physical health, mental wellbeing, lifestyle, and any concerns you have. Depending on your needs, it might involve screening for stress, fatigue, anxiety, or other challenges. We create a clear plan with recommendations and next steps.

We offer 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute sessions. The physio will advise you on which length is best for your treatment.

Yes, you are welcome to bring a support person with you when you access our physio services.

If you are seeking treatment for an injury that came about as a result of an accident, your physiotherapy will be covered except for a small fee. You can find out more about ACC eligibility on their website, or ask about this during an initial consultation.

The length of your physio treatment is entirely dependent on your injury or condition and the severity of it. Each case is unique: your physio will be able to give you an estimated timeline, but different people will always recover at different rates.
